Course Objectives:

To understand the organization of information.
To be able to look at a database or site and understand what is there.
To frame the query to enable a successful search.
To fill information needs for yourself and for others.

Each assignment is REQUIRED and each student must give me her own assignment.
You may work together but each asignment must be handed in separately.
The final exam is a take-home.
Final exam must be submitted one month after the end of the course. Late exams will receive lower grades.
There will be a chart with each student's name and completed assignments - please check the chart every so often.
Yes, almost all of the material for this course is in English.
The course is web-based and all the lectures are Internet-based.
