A Workshop Dealing with Practical Issues in Engineering

This workshop is designed to improve the communuications skills of its participants. Most of the workshop will be devoted to improving the student's ability to communicate using the written word. Some time will be devoted to making an effective presentation.

Each week workshop participants have a one hour lecture. The lecture will cover a variety of topics that are related to effective writing and the effective use of language. The participants will also take part in a two hour laboratory session each week.
